Consider the Standard Horizon HX380 which can be programmed to work on Marine and VHF MURS and Business Radio frequencies. It is unlawful to use the Standard Horizon HX210 on land.

Will the Standard Horizon HX210 work in the Bahamas? Yes, the Standard Horizon HX210 is preprogrammed with all US, Canadian, and International Marine Band Frequencies.

What is the proper squelch setting for my Standard Horizon HX210 Marine Radio?  When you turn on the Standard Horizon HX210 for the first time you'll hear lots of white noise.  Press the side button to adjust the squelch and then use the up and down arrows to adjust.  The higher the squelch, the stronger an incoming signal needs to be for you to hear it.  

Why can't I find replacement batteries for the HX210?  The Standard Horizon HX210 is completely sealed in a waterproof housing.  Opening the casing breaks that waterproof seal.  Standard Horizon will replace the battery.  You'll find buying a new radio is less costly.
