What is an Emergency Button?  The Emergency button on the MB400 is the orange button on the top of the MB400.  When pressed, the MB400 will transmit an emergency tone for 30 seconds which can be followed by your emergency message for the next 30 seconds.  the MB400 goes into an Open Mic mode allowing you to speak into the two way radio without having to hold the push to talk button.  The unit will return to normal transmit mode at the conclusion of one minute.  Please note your other two way radios must be programmed to the same frequency and privacy code in order to hear the emergency transmission.  

What is the range of the Midland MB400 series two way radio?  Your Midland MB400 UHF two way radio will transmit up to 350,000 square feet indoors and up to 30 floors.  Two way radio manufacturers do not do mileage range tests for business two way radios as most are used onsite.  You can expect up to one mile of range outdoors. 

How long does the battery last between charges?  You can expect up to 10 hours of battery life between charges.
