I need a waterproof radio for my Kayak, would this work?  Yes, this is the perfect solution for a kayaker.  You'd simply mount the RF Blackbox out of your way and the COMMANDMICIV™, HM-195 within reach.  The ICOM M400bb is submersible and features Aquaquake Water Draining to protect your radio.

Can I mount more than one ICOM M400BB on my boat?  Yes, but it would require multiple antennas to accomplish this.  You might consider a different fixed mount with remote heads if this is a requirement for you.  

How far from the ICOM M400BB Blackbox can the COMMANDMICIV™, HM-195 be used?  It isn't recommended to use more than 40' of cable.
