Two Way Radios & Trampoline Parks
I took my five year old Son our for some Father/Son time to Big Air Trampoline Park in Spartanburg, SC recently. Short of almost having a heart attack, we had a great time. No one had explained to me that a trampoline park is really an exercise park in disguise. I found Big Air to be a fairly large facility with a lot of guests, 15 or so attractions, and many ways to expend large amounts of energy.
After spending a couple of hours in Big Air Trampoline Park, I can safely say this business needs two way radios. I noticed some employees where wearing radios, I'd submit they all need to be wearing two way radios. Two way radios help businesses like Big Air with crowd control, employee productivity, and incident response time. Here's how.
- Crowd Control - There are lots of young people in the facility. There is bound to be a disagreement at some point. Getting a responsible adult to the scene of the incident immediately is enough to diffuse the situation most of the time. There are also backups at registration and concessions. Moving people through these choke points faster is a matter of profitability.
- Employee Productivity- Idle employees equate to lost profitability. People don't like to wait in line. Instant gratification is a real expectation. Moving additional help to the Registration Desk when a line forms leaves a great impression about how you care for your customers. The Concession stand was a second choke point. People don't want to wait 10 minutes for food when they're paying to be in the building by the hour. Reducing wait times will increase food sales.
- Safety - God forbid someone get hurt. Providing immediate, qualified assistance in the case of an injury makes is of utmost importance. Discretion is just as important in a medical situation at there are lot of people in the building who can quickly become a hindrance as they try to get a look at the action.
Two Way Radios also provide a quick return on investment. The ability to process more registrations and prepare more food provides tangible profits. I'd guess an investment of 12 radios would pay for themselves in 90 days.
I recommend the Motorola CLS1110 or the Kenwood PKT-23 UHF two way radio along with the use of headsets in your trampoline park. These small, compact two way radios will provide plenty of range and offer outstanding clarity. You'll be glad you added two way radios to your tool belt.
